As parents, we are filled with instructions, aren’t we? We’re constantly telling our kids what to do, how to behave, where to go, and when to be back. It’s part of the job, sure. But let me ask you: when was the last time you simply ‘hung out’ with your child? I mean really just sat with them—not to correct, not to teach, but just to listen?
I recall a moment in my own life that really brought this home to me. Our children need our instruction, yes, but even more than that, they need our presence. They need to know we are interested in their world. In this video, I want to share a personal memory and encourage you to slow down, put the lectures on hold, and just take time to be with the ones you love.
