"There is something different about this place . . ." So began two women who expressed their gratitude for the help they received through the counseling ministry of Insight for Living Arabic. It wasn't the place, however. It was the Person in the hearts of those who helped. It was Jesus who had everything to do with the change in these women's lives . . . but they didn't know it yet.
Most Arabic-speaking people live in close-knit communities, where families are supposed to intervene in cases of difficulty. But sin is the great destroyer of families, regardless of culture or religion. That's why many women, including many Muslim women, contact us, hoping that we can put their families back together. We can't, but God's Word can. One woman contacted us because she was contemplating divorce. After a few counseling sessions and applying the Scriptures to her life, she won back her husband. She told her sister, whose marriage was also breaking up, and shared everything she had learned, which saved her sister's marriage. Recently, both women visited us and said, "Our lives have been changed!" Now we pray that the Person who made the difference in their marriages will make an eternal difference in their souls.
