The Jews: Forgotten or Set Aside?

Paul never forgot his Jewish roots. No matter where he was, what he was doing, or
how he was treated, his love for his own people never faded. And so, as he wrote about
God’s plan for those who believe in His Son for eternal life, Paul’s heart was touched
by the reality that relatively few Jews had accepted Jesus as their Messiah. The vast
majority were conspicuous by their absence from the universal body of Christ. Making
sure that his readers did not come to the wrong conclusion, Paul dedicated the central
section of this letter (Romans 9–11) to the future of the Jewish nation. He underscored
the fact that, while they may be set aside during this era, they have not been forgotten.
God will still keep His promises to His chosen!
