Job 2:7–13
It’s not too early in the book of Job to get some advice from Job. Later, we examine the counsel and advice others gave to him, but a man who endured such anguish certainly has some helpful things to say to all of us. None of it directly, understand, but we can draw indirectly by inference from the final few verses of the second chapter of Job. He has valuable advice for husbands, wives, and friends. Job’s friends should be commended for coming to see Job, but, as we’ll find out, the longer they stayed the worse things became.
