My friend, there is a definition of justification floating around that you may have heard. People often say it means “just as if I’d never sinned.” It’s a catchy phrase, I grant you that, but let me be clear: it is far too shallow. It simply doesn’t go far enough to capture the magnificence of what God has done for us.
In this video, I want to give you the truth of the matter. Justification is the sovereign act of God whereby He declares a believing sinner righteous while they are still in a sinning state. Do you see the difference? It isn’t that we suddenly stop sinning or that our past is merely wiped blank; it is that the perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ is credited to our account the moment we believe. It is a gift of grace, completely apart from our works. I invite you to watch and discover the relief that comes from knowing your standing before God is settled, not because of what you do, but because of who He is.
