Hello, my friend. We all like to have a sense of control over our future, don’t we? We draw up our plans, we set our goals, and we start marching toward them. But then, life happens. A family crisis arises, a parent needs care, or a door we expected to open suddenly slams shut. In those moments, fear has a way of paralyzing us, tempting us to retreat to the ‘safer route’ where everything feels predictable.
In this video, ‘Fear of Moving Forward,’ my friend Rhome Dyck shares a very personal crossroad from his own life. While he was a full-time seminary student, he was faced with the responsibility of caring for his mother. It meant discarding his own carefully laid plans and trusting God with a path he hadn’t anticipated. If you’re standing at a crossroad today, feeling the tug of fear and the temptation to play it safe, I want to encourage you: God’s will is rarely the easiest path, but it is always the most rewarding. Let’s talk about how to move forward when the future feels uncertain.
