Hello, friend! Have you ever looked at the construction of a house? Specifically, have you looked at the way the roof is built? You have two sides that start at the ground and rise up, eventually meeting at a single, highest point—the peak. Well, I like to think of the Bible in much the same way.
In this video, ‘The Focal Point Is Constant,’ I want to show you why studying the Bible in chronological order is so enlightening. When you see how the story unfolds from the Old Testament through the New, you realize that everything is slanting toward a central peak. The Old Testament is the ‘ascent,’ pointing forward to a coming Savior, and the New Testament is the ‘descent,’ looking back at what He accomplished. The focal point—the very peak of the rooftop—never changes. It is always Jesus Christ. Let’s look at how the flow of history and Scripture always leads us back to Him.
