Overview:

Ephesians 6:18-24

Enoch. Moses. Caleb. Paul. When we think about these men, we recall how they lived fully and finished well. We remember them for their faithfulness to God, but how did they remain faithful? What makes a person walk with God for three hundred years or do his best work in the last decades of life? We attain some insight into this question in the final verses of Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, where he provided four guidelines for finishing well.

Message Summary:

In the concluding verses of his letter to the Ephesians, the Apostle Paul provides a roadmap for spiritual endurance. While many start their journey of faith with enthusiasm, the true challenge lies in "finishing well"—maintaining faithfulness, integrity, and passion for God throughout the entirety of one's life. Drawing from the final instructions of Paul, Pastor Chuck Swindoll explores the vital habits and attitudes that allow a believer to remain steadfast through trials and the passage of time.

This message emphasizes that finishing well is not an accident; it is the result of intentional spiritual disciplines. By looking at the lives of biblical figures like Enoch, Moses, and Paul himself, we learn that a strong finish requires a consistent walk with God, a commitment to prayer, and a heart focused on the grace of Christ.

Insight for Living Broadcast

I looked you all up on Spotify and clicked on the Insight for Living link. It hit me like a brick in the face; the title of the very top episode was "Dealing with Discouragement." I listened to the episode on my drive home. I 100% believe it was God speaking to me and bringing me back from a life in darkness. I felt like it was God telling me, "This is the path and plan I have for you so keep going." —R. Y. from Georgia
