hope still shines

Dear Friend:

Losing loved ones in recent years—including both of my siblings, Luci and Orville—has caused in me a prolonged undercurrent of grief.

Of course, I realize our earthly lives inevitably come to an end.

Despite accepting this unavoidable reality, the loss still brings lingering moments of sadness.

Amid such nights of pain, though, hope still shines.

For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died. . . . Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.

(1 Thessalonians 4:14, 17)

From one funeral to another, I found myself taking comfort in Christ’s eternal promise . . . being with Him and His people forever. Now, again, I find myself resting in this divine pledge as we study the book of hope, Revelation, where the end of it all gives way to a new, everlasting beginning.

CHRIST WILL RETURN!

Until that day, let’s cling to Him!

He is present to comfort through loss, evil, suffering, and death.

For that reason, Insight for Living Ministries will always proclaim this profound invitation to anyone who will receive it. No other name under heaven can save. No other source truly comforts. No other rock provides such solid hope. None but Jesus.

Will you proclaim this message with us by sending a generous donation this month so God’s Word can continue shining light for those suffering dark times?

Christ’s invitation is for everyone. His return is sure . . . and the time is near!

Anticipating the angel’s commanding shout,
