Position Summary

The executive assistant to the executive vice president and chief international officer (EVP/Chief International Officer) supports the beliefs and values of Insight for Living Ministries (IFLM) by providing key support to the EVP/Chief International Officer and helping fulfill Vision 195—IFLM’s strategy to obey Jesus’ Great Commission by teaching the study and application of God’s Word and extending His grace in all 195 countries of the world. A detail-oriented and independent self-starter, this individual ensures departmental productivity and workflow while establishing, maintaining, and facilitating relationships with international staff and contacts. The executive assistant coordinates essential departmental information, reviews international newsletters and appeals, and assists the EVP/Chief International Officer in ensuring that international affiliates fulfill their charter agreements.

With the spiritual gifts of hospitality and encouragement, the executive assistant coordinates and assists in the hosting of IFLM international pastors and executive directors in the U.S. and faithfully represents IFLM when traveling internationally or attending special events. As a member of the International Ministries Department, the executive assistant has a responsibility to bear the fruit of the Spirit and to accurately express the ministry’s beliefs and values in all interactions with constituents, staff members, and vendors.

Core Job Functions


  • Executes departmental objectives, prioritizing workflow for maximum effectiveness, productivity, and efficiency
  • Identifies departmental needs and proposes creative action plans that address both current priorities and future ministry opportunities or changes
  • Coordinates between U.S. and international IFLM offices to ensure audio, print, and video material is available to international offices and radio stations
  • Procures, processes, distributes, and archives international content for U.S. newsletters in conjunction with the EVP/Chief International Officer
  • Manages physical and electronic file structures within the department and coordinates such file structures for international offices where appropriate
  • Coordinates and schedules outgoing travel agendas for the EVP/Chief International Officer as well as for incoming international pastors and executive directors
  • Coordinates and completes various special projects within given budgets and timelines

Administrative Assistance

  • Serves as a liaison between international pastors, executive directors, and the EVP/Chief International Officer to address requests and concerns
  • Tracks and provides weekly updates on all tasks, projects, and meetings
  • Prepares and edits correspondence, reports, and presentations
  • Maintains calendar meetings and schedules
  • Attends weekly and/or monthly meetings to gather information which may impact ministry work for the international offices
  • Oversees departmental expense reporting
  • Provides research on various topics and needs as requested

Position Specifications

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum seven years’ experience as an executive assistant or high-level coordinator
  • Cultural sensitivity with an ability to envision how communication and work processes may impact staff and vendors in other cultures
  • A desire to minister to other cultures
  • Superior organizational skills with an ability to lead initiatives, multitask, prioritize, and juggle several complex projects with minimal direction
  • A high level of professionalism in communication, work processes, and presentation
  • Humility, flexibility, and ability to work within a team
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Outlook
  • Membership and regular attendance at Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, Texas, required
  • Writing and/or grant writing experience desirable
  • Education in cross-cultural studies a plus

This is a full-time position—40 hours per week.
